The cabin is heated by a woodstove, and there is a propane stove and oven for cooking, and propane lights for the evenings. Bathroom facilities include an outhouse and an outdoor solar shower. At this time, drinking water should be brought in, but water for dishes and washing comes from a rainwater collection system. There are two sleeping areas that will fit four adults comfortably, with room for more with a little creativity. Each bunk comes with a foamie mattress.
We provide: dishes, cups, mugs, cutlery, cooking pots and utensils, books, puzzles, a stand-up paddleboard, candles, and a plethora of items you might not know you need until you do. If it’s there, please feel free to use it! As well, if you have a question about whether you need to bring a specific item, please contact us directly.
You need to bring: whatever you need for sleeping (bags or blankets and sheets, pillows, thermarest or foamie if desired), food, drinking water, and personal items such as towels and toiletries).
Please note: the Sangan Surf Shack is based on wilderness cabin principles. There is no chambermaid to fluff your pillow or empty the garbage. You are responsible for leaving the cabin clean and tidy, and packing out all your garbage and left-over food.
